Brandon Mason

Director
Producer

Whether you call him a Renaissance man, a Swiss Army Knife, or Jack-of-all-Trades, he goes by B Mason, and he’ll give 100%. If you didn’t catch it in his southern drawl or the way he randomly walks around the studio yelling Roll Tide, he has no problem letting you know he hails from Down South.

Born and raised in Birmingham, B Mason studied Broadcasting & Communication Management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After school he began his career working at a CW (CBS Corporation & Time Warner) affiliate as a Creative Service and Promotions Producer. In 2009, his passion for story-telling led him to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he received his Masters of Fine Art Degree in Motion Picture Directing and began his adventure with Corduroy Media.

Between working on his Masters, getting adjusted to the bay area lifestyle (Kale and Guacamole anyone) and starting a family, he became a perma-lancer at Corduroy Media. With drive and determination, he pushed himself to master directing, producing, editing, shooting, photography, and lighting, all with the goal of becoming a better Director. After years of prodding, Sean and Carl finally talked him into joining the team full time.

B Mason has directed & produced award winning short films, which have screened at film festivals across the globe. His award winning short film STAKES took home Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative at the 2013 Sidewalk Film Festival and Best Narrative Short at the 2014 San Diego Black Film Festival. Brandon is dedicated to cultivating believable performances from his actors, using a hands-on approach to filmmaking that combines technical savvy with an intuitive feel for telling a story. His ultimate goal is to produce electrifying and transcendent art that stands the test of time.

When he is not working or chasing down his two kids Mitchell and Zaria you can catch him on the golf course pretending to be a professional on tour.
